National Division leaders are champions
as Chicklets chew up Girls in Action, 22-10
| Syosset, NY 21 June 2004--The Championship Game between Division playoff winners, took place tonight at Robbins Lane Near Field. National Division winners Chicklets defeated American Division champs G.I.A./Girls in Action by a score of 22-10 to win the title of 2004 Pony League Playoff Champions. |

| The Chicklets (posing above with their trophies) finished the season with an incredible 14-0 record, counting playoff victories. Asked to describe how he did it, head coach Andy Lyman explained that his team held nine full practices before the season began. His kids learned to play as a team and the parents were totally supportive of his and his co-coaches' efforts. "I wish all coaches had wonderful girls and parents like we did," said Lyman. |

| G.I.A./Girls in Action (posing above with their trophies) also had a great season, finishing 11-3 (again, counting playoff victories). Coach Jacki Mitchell praised her girls for their hard word and dedication to teamwork. "Honestly," said Jacki, "we didn't have the best team on paper, but they showed a lot of heart and played up to and sometimes above their abilities." |
