| With a lot of first-game-of-the-season jitters the Wildcats and Lighting battled back and forth throughout the innings.
There was some outstanding hitting from the Wildcats Sophie Golden, Isabel Henn and Jessica Levy. Tough defense won the game for the Wildcats with strong play from Madelyn Ma and a final game-winning pop fly caught by Jenna Strudler. Also—it's déjà vu all over again. Two years ago it happened three times in one season. This year it's already happened in the very first game. Although it came in a losing effort, Bethany Stuart of DePinto Electric Lightning pulled off an unassisted TRIPLE PLAY in tonight’s game. |
